Green Day is in their unassuming practice space in their old neighborhood of Oakland, California, a little asylum in a country on the turn. The triplet of 47-year-olds – still the world's greatest troublemaker band – are posturing for photographs with vocalist guitarist-musician Billie Joe Armstrong's valued Triumph cruiser. At that point, somebody recollects that the band's impending Hella Mega Tour, close by individual alt-rock survivors Fall Out Boy and Weezer, is supported by Harley-Davidson. The Triumph is returned under its defensive sheet. "Welcome to Trump's America," murmurs bassist Mike Dirnt when I advise him of my excursion by means of San Francisco, where I was stunned to see such a lot of urgent vagrancy. "Where the rich get more extravagant and the poor get more unfortunate. Tragically, I don't think we've seen anything yet." The band owns various Oakland organizations – "it's significant for us to do what we can to lift up our neighborhood," says – while Armstrong actually goes on fights and goes to nearby troublemaker shows.
